About Calabash Resort

Calabash Resort is a small, Bahamian based handmade swimwear and resort wear brand designed for the vibrant, trendy, and daring woman, and now, men too.

Named after the Calabash tree, found throughout the outer islands of The Bahamas, even in my Grandmother's backyard, the brand is rooted in beauty and versatility, two traits that define our pieces. With bold colors, hand drawn prints, flattering silhouettes, and one of a kind designs, Calabash is here to bring confidence and style to every island soul.

From Passion to Purpose

Launched in June 2021 by Taneika Gibson, Calabash was born from a lifelong love of fashion. Taneika began sewing as a child, received her first machine at 11, and later studied Fashion Marketing and Merchandising at university. In 2022, she stepped away from the brand to further her studies in Fashion Design, returning with refined skills, renewed vision, and bold ambition.

Now, Calabash is back and better than ever, ready to become the leading swimwear and resort wear brand in The Bahamas.
